The school district of LeBron James’ hometown, Akron, Ohio, has given LeBron the green light to start building a public school in a partnership with his The LeBron James Family Foundation.
LeBron made an announcement a few months back, that he wanted to build the”I Promise” school which will be a school for students who are struggling academically in the Akron community. The school will have longer days and also summer classes to help to students learning process.
The school is set to open by next fall starting with just third and fourth graders. LeBron plans to add more grade levels as the years go on.
