Recently, Nick Minaj’s brother Jelani Maraj was found guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child, reports TMZ
The victim was his then 11-year-old step daughter whom took the stand and stated that he raped her numerous of times. It was over an 8 month span in his home in Long Island back in 2015. She took the stand against Maraj and described certain situations she was put in with him.
“He used lubricant and told me to breathe properly and not to clench so it wouldn’t hurt so much,” she said describing an encounter. “It hurt. I told him to stop and tried to push him away.”
She also went on to explain the very first time he raped her in their home. “It was a Saturday morning,” she described. “I had went to him to go say ‘Good morning.’ I had hugged him as usual. I went to go lie next to him as I usually do. When I did that, he told me to go close the door. He told me to take off my pants. Then he told me to come under the covers with him and he started caressing me.”
She also claimed that Maraj threatened to send her away from the family if ever she said anything about what he was doing. Her 8-year-old brother even caught Maraj in the act but she begged him to not tell because of Maraj threats.
After hearing her and her young brother testify, and DNA evidence, Maraj is now facing 25 years to life and will be sentenced on December 14. His sister Nicki Minaj didn’t take the stand for or against her brother during the trial.
