Solange takes the award as the most nominated artist for this year’s Soul Train Awards with seven nominations. Bruno Mars has six nominations which puts him as the second leading artist.
Solange is nominated for best R&B/soul female artist and video and song of the year for her single “Cranes in the Sky.” Bruno Mars is nominated for song of the for “That’s What I Like” and album/mixtape of the year for “24K Magic”
The awards will air November 26th and will honor Toni Braxton for the Don Cornelius Legend Award and SWV will be honored with the Lady of Soul Award. According to BET, the ladies will be honored for their longstanding careers and influence.
