Will Smith reunited with Jazzy Jeff for MTV’s Summerblast Music Festival and Livewire Festival and premiered a new song called “Get Lit.”
“Get Lit” is Smith’s first single since his album Lost and Found, released in 2005. Smith stated that his comeback was influenced by LL Cool J.
“I looked at Jeff and he was getting old, man, and I was like, ‘I can’t do this to this boy,” he said. “It was time. LL hit me up and was like, ‘Dude, I’m telling you, it’s time. You have no idea the love that’s out there.’ I was listening to L like, ‘All right, I need to do it.”
We are definitely here for a reunion between Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the music industry. Also, Happy 49th Birthday to Will Smith!
