In February during Work with Karen its Black HER-Story Month where we are celebrating Black History month with #SheFacts of female trailblazers.

Why We Love Her: Today we are honoring the magnificent, quadruple threat, a true lady of media Oprah Winfery. Oprah always seems to set the bar high being a women that everyone loves, respects, and inspires to be  as a journalist and an entrepreneur.

Stats: Born January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. 1976, she hosted People Are Talking, recruited by a Chicago TV station to host her own morning show. November 2013, Winfrey received the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Ladies First: Billionaire Oprah Winfrey, is best known for hosting her own internationally popular talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show for 25 consecutive seasons from 1986 to 2011. She is also an actress, philanthropist, publisher and producer. Launching her own TV network, The Oprah Winfrey  Network 

Impact: Oprah has remained in the rapidly shifting and converging media field through The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).In January 2017, CBS announced that Winfrey will join the news magazine 60 Minutes as a special contributor in the fall. Oprah continues to inspire us daily with her interviews, movie roles ,and her countless progression throughout this industry.
