In February during Work with Karen its Black HER-Story Month where we are celebrating Black History month with #SheFacts of female trailblazers.

Why We Love Her: Today we are honoring the legendary Condoleeza Rice. She is an educator and politician that has experienced many political campaigns and administrations. She is taking her time to educate future politicians to navigate down a successful path.

Stats: Born on November 14, 1954, in Birmingham, Alabama. in 1974 she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Denver; her master’s from the University of Notre Dame in 1975; and her Ph.D. from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of International Studies in 1981. That same year, she joined Stanford University as a political science professor.

Ladies First: Rice became the first woman and first African-American to serve as provost of Stanford University, which she held for six years. The first black woman to serve as the United States’ national security adviser, as well as the first black woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of State

Impact: Condoleezza Rice served this country as the nation’s chief diplomat she dedicated her department to “Transformational Diplomacy with a mission of building and sustaining democratic, well-governed states around the world and the Middle East in particular.
