Last night during VH1’s Hip Hop Honors, hip hop pioneers Salt-N-Pepa gave an incredible acceptance speech for women in the music community to continue to inspire and support one another in such a male dominated industry.
During their speech they acknowledged a few names that came before them including Roxanne Shante, Sha Rock, Sparky D and our very own Lady B, who is responsible for bringing hip hop music to Philly airwaves.
