The Supreme Court has ordered former television judge Joe Brown to stop practicing law in Tennessee after he was placed on disability inactive status

Brown’s production company says he is suffering from complications from type II diabetes. The effects of prescribed medication for the condition combined causes him hypertension and stress.

According to TMZ A Tennessee disciplinary official says the trigger for benching the former TV court judge was a disciplinary hearing. Brown was under fire for blowing a gasket at a judge in a Memphis juvenile court. The Tennessee Supreme Court determined Brown’s disability made him unable to defend himself in the disciplinary hearing, so he was placed on inactive status.
