PRINCETON STUDENT HUNGER STRIKE

32-year-old Rachel Barr started a hunger strike to protest Princeton University’s handling of disabled students.

Barr has dyslexia and attention deficit disorder. She was on full scholarship when she says the university failed to make accommodations during exams.

As a result, she got a B- instead of a B+ and was dismissed from the program.

The Department of Education has reviewed her case, but not rendered a decision.

McDonald’s Is Trying Something New

McDonald’s typically serves hamburger patties that have been “flash frozen.” Now McDonald’s is cooking up hamburgers with fresh beef in a few test locations in Texas.  The company said the burgers are flash frozen by suppliers and are generally grilled up at a restaurant two or three weeks after.

Micky D’s said it’s too early to tell whether fresh beef will become a permanent ingredient in the McDonald’s menu, or if it will expand to other restaurants.

BUDWEISER IS UNDERGOING A FACE LIFT

Budweiser has upped its efforts to let America know exactly how patriotic the brand is. With that being said, they’ve decided to change their brand name to “America,”.

This new name will only be sticking around until the Presidential Election in November. Beginning May 23rd, each new “America” can will feature quotes from “The Star Spangled Banner” and the Pledge of Allegiance.
