A French official says the suspected mastermind of the Paris attacks was also linked to thwarted

According to officials, Salah Abdeslam, one of the individuals who helped orchestrate the deadly attacks in Paris on Friday, was reportedly located inside a building in a suburban town in Belgium. However, the police siege ended without his capture, according to the town’s mayor. A spokesman for a Federal Prosecutor said that officials came across the town because one of the attackers who died lived there. Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said what’s been happening in Molenbeek is a “giant problem.” Two of the seven attackers were with Abdeslam when police stopped them at the France-Belgium border and let them go because there weren’t any warrants out for their arrest. 160 Anti-Terrorism Raids Conducted in France and Belgium

Police officials in France and Belgium have conducted more than 160 anti-terrorism raids in search of more suspects related to the Paris attacks that took place on Friday. One of the individuals they’re looking for, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, is said to be the mastermind behind the attacks. Several people have been arrested as a result of the raids. Read more.

GOP Candidate Ted Cruz Says Christians Don’t Pose Threat of Terrorism

GOP candidate Ted Cruz shared his thoughts about the terrorist attacks, sparking a debate about religion. Cruz said he believes Muslim refugees from Syria shouldn’t be allowed in the U.S., but Christians should be permitted to come here because they won’t commit acts of terror. “There is no meaningful risk of Christians committing acts of terror. If there were a group of radical Christians pledging to murder anyone who had a different religious view than they, we would have a different national security situation,” said Cruz. “But it is precisely the Obama administration’s unwillingness to recognize that or ask those questions that makes them so unable to fight this enemy. Because they pretend as if there is no religious aspect to this.” Read more.
