According to Huffington Post , Joe’s Crab Shack is he first chain restaurant to pay servers minimum wage. The new policy will take place in 18 of its restaurants. The minimum wage will range from $12-!4 an hour depending on the experience and performance of the server.
The change came in August, and continues to spread to different locations. The money for the based salary will come from an increase from anywhere from 10-15 percent. With this policy change, customers can end up spending less on a meal than usual when tipping was involved.
