Former NFL star Darren Sharper has plead guilty on rape charges in a Louisiana criminal court, according to NY Daily News. This is part of a multistate plea deal, stemming from drugging and rape charges brought against him in a few states.

Sharper, 39, appeared before a Louisiana judge Monday, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of forcible rape and one count of simple rape from two separate incidents in New Orleans in 2013. Sharper had already pleaded guilty or no contest in California, Arizona and Nevada, where Sharper was charged with the aforementioned criminal activity–this means it’s four states with existing charges. As part of the global plea, he will only serve nine years in prison, which is crazy.

Via NY Daily News:

The former Saints, Vikings and Packers safety also pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to distribute Schedule IV drugs with the intent to commit rape and distributing those drugs with intent to commit rape in Louisiana last month. Sentencing in that case is scheduled for Aug. 20.

The judge set a sentencing date for Aug. 21 in the Louisiana state case.

But again, can we talk about how nine years isn’t enough time, though? What the hell!
