Temple Student’s Tragic Death Over An Allege Selfie
Late Thursday night a Temple University student died after she fell from a building and landed on 44-year-old Erica Goodwin, who was walking below.
The university identified the victim as 18-year-old Rebecca Kim, a pre-pharmacy freshmen. Police say Kim was visiting friends who are Art Institute of Philadelphia students who lived on the eighth floor of their apartment building on Chestnut street.
According to investigators, Kim climbed out onto the ledge of a window, while her friends advised her not to. That’s when Rebecca Kim fell.
Kim was taken to Jefferson Hospital in critical condition. She later passed due to her injuries, while Goodwin was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital with multiple spine and rib fractures.
Authorities do not believe foul play was involved in Kim’s death. Temple University send their condolences to the family.
