We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! New actor on the scene John Boyega in just four words shut down any racist critics of his appearance in the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens with: “Get used to it”. As a part of an Instagram post (@jboyega) in which Boyega was actually thanking his new crop of fans excited about him playing the role of an Imperial Stormtrooper, he addressed the uproar in a snappy comeback included at the bottom, complete with a smiley face.

Unfortunately we’ve seen this kind of reaction from idiotic so-called cinephiles or franchise fans. Instead of applauding Hollywood for diversifying its casting choices–which the industry still doesn’t do enough off–fake fans take such awesome moments of cheap shots to spew hate. The racism is even more appalling considering the very volatile and sad racial climate of America right now. Enough of these racist imbeciles, and by the way, how big of a George Lucas stan are they with their racist viewers considering Lucas’ wife, Mellody Hobson, is also Black?

So with that being said, thanks racists! You did it again. While I’ve always respected the legacy and impact of the Star Wars franchise I never really latched on as a fan. But because all of the racists chose to make themselves known, I will be seeing The Force Awakens when it opens for next year’s holiday season on December 18.
