Monday October 13th, was an awesome day. The weather gave us Autumn perfection and a sister by the name of Ledisi gave us vocal perfection to compliment such a beautiful day. I was honored and super excited to represent Old School 100.3 on stage as on of the hosts for the Hello Beautiful Interludes Featuring Ledisi Live from Philadelphia. The performance was an invitation only event that was held at The Theater of The Living Arts on 4th and South Streets.
Now, I had the pleasure of seeing her perform in Philly earlier in the year but I have to say there was something extra special in the air with this performance.Sister girl was flawless, powerful, honest, humble, sexy and completely entertaining. There were so many elements to this evening that made it so special: on a personal note, I was surrounded by many friends, Ledisi debuted a new song called “88 Boxes” which made the audience erupt with applause, the space, the TLA, was decked out in a silky, sexy lounge motif and the entire event was recorded for television. I can really gush about her as an artist and about Interludes as an event but I can show you better than I can tell you sp please check it out for yourself when it airs on TV One on November 29th.
