After landing in the Dominican Republic from Philadelphia, an airplane was held in isolation with reports of a passenger aboard traveling with the Ebola virus.
A Philadelphia man sneezed while sitting on the flight to Punta Cana. After sneezing he stated he had Ebola. Passengers and flight attendants were frightened and the matter was handled properly. Flight attendants alerted the captain of the plane and they contacted health officials.
Once the plane landed health experts in blue hazmat suits and protective mask boarded the plane. While escorting the Philadelphia man off of the plane he stated that he was just joking.
US Airways apologized for any inconvenience that the incident may have caused. But the safety of their customers and employees is their first priority.
