58-year-old Clarence Hairston pleaded guilty today for driving intoxicated while his 8-year-old nephew sat on his lap.
Hairston was spotted driving out of control by Darby Police Department earlier this summer. The police then followed Hairston to his home where they noticed his 8-year-old nephew sitting on his lap and another 9-year-old nephew in the back seat. Hairston refused to take a Breathalyzer test after the officer spotted an open can of beer in his hand and smelled alcohol coming from Hairston’s clothing.
According to records this is Hairston’s first DUI arrest.
