I must say, 2013 has been an awesome year for black cinema or films featuring black actors/history. The Butler, 12 Years A Slave, Best Man Holiday, Fruitvale Station and many others receive critical acclaim and or good box office receipts. The history of African Americans in film goes back too many years to count but the stories and the performances have left an erasable stamp on pop culture. I discovered this website that listed the top 100 Must See Black Films. Scroll through the posters and see how many you’ve actually watched, want to watch or never heard of but would give it a play.
