Prince William and Kate Middleton has officially announced the name of their new bundle of joy, now third in line to the throne. Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, a strong name fit for a king. The new proud parents had no problem showing off their new addition to the world yesterday. Today, Kensington Palace said the William and Kate were “delighted to announce” their son’s name.
It only took the royal couple just two days to announce the name of their son, which is considered fast for royal standard . Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh took a whole month before announcing the name of Charles Prince of Wales, and Princess Diana and Prince Charles took a week before settling on William’s names.
For now, the baby is expected to stay out of the spotlight after making his first “public appearance” in the arms of his parents outside of London’s St. Mary’s Hospital yesterday.
