On Friday, August 6th, the School District of Philadelphia, 107.9 WRNB and sister stations 100.3 The Beat and Praise 103.9 hosted 50,000 during the annual Family and Community Back to School Block Party at the School District’s Education Center. Roland Martin from “The Tom Joyner Morning Show” and CNN was even in attendance! Over 10,000 backpacks were given away, and almost a dozen lucky attendees won laptop computers.
