Congratulations to 100.3 WRNB Most Cutest Couple!  Randy and Zupenda won the month long cutest couple competition winnning $500 in American Express Gift Cards Courtesy of Centric, Comcast 174.  Read their story below:

Our love story should be titled, “We were the last ones to know.” Randy and I met in 2006 while enrolled in the Doctor of Public (DrPH) program at Drexel University School of Public Health. We worked on school projects together and would often talk about our love for music and the arts. One day, a friend of mine told me that she wanted me to meet a guy who she believed would be perfect for me. As she began to describe him to me I realized that she was talking about Randy. She had no idea that we were classmates. I told her, “We’re just friends and aren’t interested in each other. I will say that Randy is a big flirt and likes to say things just to get a reaction out of me whenever we speak.” After a year, Randy decided to leave the program to pursue his passion (magic- yes, magic) full-time. Over the next few years we continued to keep in touch but he never pursued me or asked me out on a date.

In 2010, Randy walked me to my car after a birthday party. We hugged (as usual) and then he gave me a peck on my forehead, my right cheek, my left cheek and then smack dead on my lips! Trust me, I didn’t see it coming! Once again I thought he was just playing around with me to see what I would do but I had to admit that I actually liked it. Ever since that moment I noticed that he really paid attention to me and it seemed like he was trying to figure me out.

In 2011 one of my girlfriends asked me what I wanted in a mate. As I began to describe the qualities of my potential mate, I realized that there was only one man I knew who fit that description- Randy! I was starting to like him more than a friend but I wasn’t sure how he felt about me. My girlfriend suggested that I just ask him. So one day Randy and I were on the phone and I did just that. We both admitted that we had thoughts of being more than just friends with each other but just wasn’t sure. I basically said, “Well now that I’ve spilled my guts, now what?” He said, “Let’s continue to hang out and see what happens.” We’ve been together for 1 year and 9 months and plan to wed in the very near future. As the saying goes, “You should marry your best friend!”
