Late actor Michael Clarke Duncan is set to star in his last film, “In the Hive” which will debut December 14.
According to BET.com, the film, produced and directed by Robert Townsend, is based on a true story of an alternative school for troubled North Carolina youth.
The story centers around a street character called Xtra, played by Jonathan McDaniels, who is sent to the Hive, an all-boys school, where he meets Mr. Hollins (Duncan).
Also starring in the film are Loretta Devine, Roger Guenveur Smith and Vivica A. Fox, who plays Xtra’s “boozy” mother.
“In the Hive” opens in select theaters December 14.
Michael Clarke Duncan passed away at the age of 54 on September 3, 2012.
