Steve Roe was driving a Ford F-450 when he ran a red light at 61st Street & Columbia Ave. The dump truck then plowed into 13 year old Taj Bland as he pulled football gear out of his parents’ minivan. The boy was dragged nearly 15 yards under the 23,000 pound truck before it slammed into other cars & came to a stop. Taj was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he is listed in stable condition. Police say Steve Roe’s vehicle reeked of marijuana & he was arrested at the scene. Roe owns the truck & has his own dump truck business.
