Whitney Houston Greatest Hits CD Tops Digital Charts

Late singer Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hits CD topped the charts landing in at number 6 of U.S. Billboard’s 200 album charts, within 24 hours of her death. Whitney Houston’s compilation CD “Whitney: The Greatest Hits” includes hits such as “Saving All My Love for You” and “I Will Always Love You,” went on to sell 91,000 digital copies and 10,00 physical copies of the compilation, based on Nielsen SoundScan records. The increase in sales, are in lieu of the tragic singers death, that took place Saturday February 11th in Beverly Hills, on the eve of The Grammy Awards. Fans remembered the late singer by the legacy of her music, which is shown with an increase of digital track sales by 887,000, which 195,000 of those sales were Houston’s most famous ballad “I Will Always Love You.” The song was played more than 2100 times on U.S. Radio.
