Jennifer has not taken off for the holidays this year,that’s for sure! She sang at the White House during the Obamas inaugural White House state dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Next during the Christmas season you’ll find her letting the world into her life, again.

ABC is sending Jennifer Hudson home for the holidays
Jennifer Hudson will be going home to Chicago this Christmas. She has signed on to star in a one hour special on ABC. According to AccessHollywood.com, Hudson will take viewers on musical tour of her childhood. She will perform at various locations throughout the city including the neighborhood church she attended as a child. In the special Hudson will visit with her family and close friends that supported her over the years.
The ABC special “Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home For Christmas” will most likely be a very emotional journey for Hudson. Last fall the Grammy and Oscar winner lost her mother, brother and nephew in a triple murder. Police would arrest her sister’s estranged husband William Balfour for the crime. The singer retreated from the public for a short time to grieve in private. Hudson was very close to her mother even taking her to the Academy Awards.
Jennifer Hudson is also a proud new mom. Hudson talks about motherhood and introduces her eight week old son David in an exclusive interview with People Magazine. In the issue that hits newsstands October 15 Hudson says “I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy,” she continues, “Who better to devote my time to than my own child?”
