Man says he has bomb, robs Center City bank

Law enforcement officials are looking for a man who robbed a Center City bank yesterday saying he had a bomb.

The bandit fled on foot following the 1:40 p.m. stickup at the Wachovia Bank branch at 1700 Market Street, the FBI said.

The robber is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, with a medium build, a mustache and long sideburns.

He wore a red and white baseball cap with a black bill and a logo on the front, and a black hooded sweatshirt during the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.
