(BLACKAMERICAWEB)  Toni Braxton has been going through some things lately – from divorce and multiple bankruptcies and recently, a lupus diagnosis. But through it all, she has stuck in there with her head held high. So at the Third Annual Winter Ball on Dec. 4 at the Delta Air Heritage Museum in Atlanta, the diva will be honored for her resilience.

Also being honored are the American Heart Association and Martin Luther King III for his humanitarian efforts and work as the president of the King Center.

CEO Terrinee Briggs remarked, “We selected our 2010 honorees because of their story. Both Toni Braxton and Martin Luther King, III have been through many trials and tribulations but have maintained their commitment to the community and their passion to help others … they never gave up, they bounced back, and we felt they should be honored for that.”
