Beyoncé celebrates her 29th birthday today, so to mark this occasion, we’ve compiled 29 of the most memorable moments in her 13-year career!

1) Destiny’s Child “Killing Time”

Destiny’s Child’s first major label recording appeared on the soundtrack to Men In Black.  The song was written in part by former member of Tony Toni Toné, Dwayne Wiggins.

2) Destiny’s Child  “No No No (Part 2)”

Thanks to Wyclef’s help on the remix tip, Destiny’s Child’s first official single became their first number one single.

3) Destiny’s Child “Independent Women Part 1”

Originally featured on the soundtrack to Charlie’s Angels, “Independent Women Part 1” became Destiny’s Child’s most successful single, spending 11 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

4) Beyoncé appears in Austin Powers: Goldmember as Foxy Cleopatra

5) Beyonce Hula Hoops in “Work It Out” video

6) The “Crazy In Love” booty bounce

Girls (and a few dudes) everywhere tried to duplicate Beyonce’s booty bounce from the first video from her debut solo album, 2003’s Dangerously In Love.

7) Destiny’s Child officially break up

After releasing their Destiny Fulfilled album, Destiny’s Child officially called it quits in 2004.  The album was a huge success and spawned 4 hit singles, “Lose My Breath,” “Soldier,” “Girl,” and “Cater 2 U.”

8) Beyoncé performs “The Star Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl XXXVIII

…and she MURDERED it.

9) Beyonce falls on stage

During a concert stop in Orlando, Beyonce’s heel got caught on her coat and sent her tumbling face first down a set of steps on stage. She recovered like a champ though!

10) Beyoncé and her mother, Tina, launch the House of Deréon clothing line

11) Dreamgirls

Beyoncé was cast as Deena in the much-anticipated film version of the hit Broadway play, Dreamgirls.  The all-star cast included Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and Jennifer Hudson, who won an Oscar for her role in the film.

12) Beyonce goes left…

“Irreplaceable,” the third single from Beyoncé’s second solo album, was a huge success. It was the best selling single of 2007, and had girls everywhere telling their wayward boyfriends to go to the left.

13) Cadillac Records

In 2008, Beyoncé portrayed legendary singer Etta James in the film Cadillac Records.

14) Beyoncé introduces the world to Sasha Fierce

Beyonce’s third album, I Am… Sasha Fierce officially introduced her sassy alter ego to the world. Sasha was the force behind the monstrous single “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”

15) Beyonce & Justin Timberlake do “Single Ladies” on SNL

On an episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by Paul Rudd, Beyonce participated in a sketch parodying the making of the “Single Ladies” video where her back up dancers were replaced by Justin Timberlake and SNL castmembers Andy Samberg and Horatio Sanz, who all wore black leotards. 16) Kanye West defends Beyoncé.

Everyone knows what happened at the 2009 VMA’s… Beyonce lost best video of the year to Taylor Swift.  Kanye West wasn’t havin’ it and bumrushed the stage. The greatest part of the whole scandal was not Kanye’s “oh well” shrug at the end of his rant, but Beyoncé’s reaction:

17) Beyoncé performs at Barack Obama’s Presidential Inauguration ball

Beyoncé sang Etta James’ “At Last” as President Barack Obama and the First Lady danced on the night of his Inauguration.

18) Beyoncé performs a medley with Prince at the Grammy Awards

Beyoncé and Prince opened up the 2004 Grammy awards with a showstopping performance. Grand opening, grand closing!

19) Beyoncé performs for cancer patients in Singapore

While in Singapore, Beyoncé stopped by NUH Hospital and gave a special performance for patients afflicted with cancer.

20) The Lady Gaga Collaborations

The world of pop culture drooled all over Beyonce’s collaborations with another pop superstar, Lady Gaga. The two recorded two songs and filmed two videos for their songs “Telephone” and “Video Phone.”

21) The Alicia Keys video shoot

Beyoncé and Alicia Keys teamed up for a song on Keys’ album, The Element Of Freedom. They shot a video for “Put It In a Love Song” in Brazil earlier this year, but for some reason, it has yet to be released.

22) Beyonce’s Cosmetology Center

In March 2010, Beyoncé helped launch a cosmetology center at the Phoenix House in Brooklyn for women recovering from drug addiction and abuse.

23) Beyoncé marries Jay-Z

The power-couple had been dating for several years before they finally walked down the aisle in a private ceremony in New York City in 2008.

24) Beyoncé and Jay-Z visit the White House

Jay & Beyoncé were invited to the White House earlier this year, and their visit made headlines!

25) Beyoncé learns how to drive

At the age of 28, Beyoncé finally learned how to drive. Her instructor? The Jiggaman.

26) Beyonce grabs herself at Bonnaroo music festival.

Beyonce was enjoying her husband’s performance at the Bonnaroo music festival, she started grabbing her crotch. Whoa!

27) Beyonce performs with Jay-Z at Coachella

Beyoncé joined her hubby for a performance of his single “Forever Young” at the Coachella festival.

28) Beyonce’s jet ski accident

While on vacation with Jay-Z this summer, Beyoncé had a bit of an accident while riding a jet ski. She wasn’t injured though!

29) Beyonce is named the 2nd most powerful entertainer in 2010

Beyonce was named by Forbes Magazine as the 2nd most powerful entertainer of 2010. She was kept out of the number 1 slot by some woman named Oprah Winfrey.
