Comedian Lil Rel stopped by the Quincy Harris Morning Show. He was in town to promote the new movie “Uncle Drew,” in theaters, Friday, June 29th.
While the movie was being filmed, Boston Celtic, Kyrie Irving was still a Cleveland Cavalier and going through his trade. We asked Lil Rel what it was like working with Kyrie, who plays “Uncle Drew” at that time
I remember watching Sports Center and then coming in to read with him the next day to rehearse. I didn’t ask him but it was just me looking at him like “hey man, you good? Is there anything you want to talk about?” *laughter* You know what’s funny, the more I talk about that I’m really proud of him because he was still able to execute this movie with ALL of that happening. He was still focused, he was still really good. Kyrie some type of anomaly. He’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.
