Jay-Z has been going through copyright drama since 2007 but, it may be coming to an end! He was sued for copyright infringement for his 1999 hit ‘Big Pimpin’. The song samples a 1957 Egyptian artist’s song called ‘Khosara Khosara’. Despite Timbaland, the song’s producer, paying the record label $100,000 for rights to the song, the Egyptian artist’s nephew claimed that he still held some of the rights to the song.

After years of this legal battle going back and forth, the court awarded victory to Jay-Z! The court ruled that the nephew of the late composer does not hold any of the rights to the song.

Now he can focus on traveling on the road with his wife, Bey!
