The School District of Philadelphia announced that John B. Kelly will be closed again today due to mold. The district also stated the school will not reopen until the building is completely free of mold.
The school was closed on Thursday after heating, ventilation and air-conditioning issues, revealed traces of mold in several classrooms. A contractor has begun working to remove the old in John B. Kelly Wednesday and Thursday.
The staff of the elementary school has been reporting to the Hill Freedman World Academy located at 1100 Mt. Pleasant Street.
We hope the students and staff can return to John B. Kelly Elementary immediately and safely.
