Hidden Figures And Get Out Continue To Soar

Hidden Figures earns more in the US than the X-Men and Star Trek. Before last weekend, the film already topped domestic box-office receipts of “Trolls,” “Kung Fu Panda 3” and “Ghostbusters.” That’s in addition to the lead it’s maintained over “La La Land.” Since it’s December release Hidden Figures has brought in 162.9 million domestically. World Wide the film is over 200 million.

Speaking of box off favorite Get Out has become 2017’s blockbuster’s and it’s success has officially earned the movie a direct place in movie history. “Jordan Peele is the first black writer-director to break the coveted $100 million threshold with a feature debut. As of Tuesday, “Get Out,” a psychological thriller about racism, has earned $110 million in box-office sales.”
