SEPTA COMMUTERS FACES CROWDED TRAINS

Commuters were facing challenges this morning after SEPTA decided to take over 100 cars of its Regional Rail trains out of service due to a structural problem.

Until further notice, SEPTA will use the modified Saturday schedule Monday through Friday.

To ease congestion, passengers traveling into Center City will be able to connect to the Market-Frankford Line at 30th Street Station.

MAN SHOT AND KILLED HIS FORMER BOSS

Police say 42 year old David M. Stead of Pemberton Township NJ shot and killed his former employer 49-year-old Thomas Wright II, whose body was found inside his Burlington County home.

Police say Stead went to the home to rob Wright, but instead shot the victim multiple times in the head and neck. He then fled the scene with a small amount of cash in a rented pickup truck being used by Wright.

 

MEGA MILLIONS JACKPOT HITS $449M

The estimated Mega Millions jackpot has risen to $449 million, making it potentially the 7th largest lottery jackpot in the U.S.

The odds of picking the correct numbers on five white balls and one yellow ball in the Mega Millions game are one in 259 million.
