Beyonce Knowles-Carter unleashed Lemonade on the world without much advance hype, but about a week before her album dropped came an accompanying HBO special, she posted a trailer on YouTube. According to a new lawsuit filed in New York, this trailer was copied without permission from a short film titled Palinoia.

Filmmaker and creative director, Matthew Fulks, has filed a lawsuit against the platinum-selling artist, Parkwood Entertainment, Sony and Columbia Records for “copied” ideas from his film titled Palinoia in her Lemonade trailer. Fulks was able to point out nine similar concept features within the trailer.

Hopefully Beyoncé can still celebrate the album recently going platinum amidst the rumors of the lawsuit.
