Egypt Ufele was made fun of in school because of her weight, and says she was even stabbed with a pencil by bullies.
Instead of feeling bad for herself, the resilient fifth-grader took out her grandmother’s sewing machine and started creating a fashion line for all young girls, including plus-size, which was featured in New York’s Fashion Week.
Egypt being the only child designer to dress curvy models. Egypt line is titled “Chubiline,” which she describes as bringing “Africa to America one design at a time.”
