19 year old shot in “accident”
A 19-year-old young man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the stomach after being shot by a friend. His friend was allegedly showing off the gun when it went off inside a South Philly pizza shop on 3rd Street near Snyder Avenue about 12:30 p.m on Saturday, police said.
He is expected to recover after being rushed to Jefferson Hospital. A 40-year-old man, identified as the shooter, was taken into police custody, and was expected to be charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and other weapons offenses.
